This website features some information on
DEMONS & WIZARDS, the project which JON SCHAFFER of ICED
EARTH did with BLIND GUARDIAN vocalist HANSI KURSCH. Their music could
be described as "Epic Power Metal" and although it is tempting to
compare it to a mixture of the styles of music they usually peform with their
own bands, it actually comes accross sounding somewhat different, yet still
retaining each of the two musicians' individual musical traits for which they
are each reknowned.
SCHAFFER's trademark riffing and killer guitar harmonies blend harmoniously
with HANSI's big operatic choruses and strikingly unique vocal style, and
together they explore musical territory that neither ICED EARTH or
BLIND GUARDIAN would ordinarily venture into on their own...
